Choice of Birthplace

Registered Midwives in BC are trained and licensed to offer you a choice of birthplace – home or hospital. Pomegranate midwives have privileges at BC Women’s and Burnaby Hospital. 

Making a decision about where you want to give birth is an important part of informed choice and the midwifery model of care. Your midwife will be happy to answer questions you have about this topic. 

At Pomegranate, we regularly host free Homebirth Information sessions to ensure people have access to reliable information about this option for birthing families in BC.
